Range Shooting
George Nourse Range
16802 Nash Road
Nampa, ID 83686
What to bring to your Range shooting class:
Water
snacks
safety glasses
ear plugs
ear muffs
bring three old shirts to shoot up
a full tank of gas
weather appropriate clothing
no low cut shirts, hot brass can fly straight down your shirt and that hurts
Students will provide their own ammunition
Example ammunition list:
200 rounds of pistol ammo (yes, you can use your .22 pistol for part, but must shoot at least 100 centerfire ammo)
20 rounds of rifle (yes, you can use your .22 rifle)
25 rounds of shotgun (yes, you can use your kid's pump .410, but 12 gauge is cheaper, you won't feel the 12 gauge recoil, you are shooting from the hip at waist level for most of the shooting, no sore shoulders the next day)
5 rounds of 00 Buck shotgun ammo
3 old shirts to put on your targets. You will be shooting them up.
Bring the firearms you have to the range, if they are functional, you may use them for the class.
Revolvers and or semi-auto pistols may be used. I teach people to use full size pistols for conceal carry if they shoot them well.
Rifles both in bolt action and "repeaters" are used, as well as semi-auto rifles.
Shotguns are used, mostly pumps and semi-auto's. Any gauge is acceptable.
If you don't have your own guns to shoot please contact Terry or Jacqueline to make arrangements three days or more before class.
